While listening to the new album by Giovanni Allevi, i’ve thought of posting some ‘work in progress’ of a recent illustration i did for “Precious Things”. Recently, a lot of things happened, mostly unexpected like the move and the new job (nothing related with art, btw) and i necessarily had to stop drawing for awhile. I hope i’ll be able to recover lost time shortly.
Ok, the first one is a sketch i did in 2006!
I like this image very much but i’ve never had time to complete it, as you can see ^_^
Anyway, here a second WIP. Partially inked and colored, a sort of test of the final illustration.
And finally, the illustration for the book.

The final result is incredible… Elegant, mysterious, and full of beauty… The work on the water is simply perfect and I'm love with the 'so wet' colours…

In realta' sono ancora una romana 'sui generis'…infatti nel finesettimana sono quasi sempre a casa, nelle Marche…spero di riuscire a organizzarmi meglio nelle prossime settimane ^_^
