Just a quick post to let you know I’m working on the illustrations for the Illustration/Comic themed Show at Vinca Minor Gallery in Sweden. I have been invited to join this exhibition featuring other talented female illustrators in collaboration with the Small Press Expo in Stockholm. I’m very excited about the whole thing and I’m painting 5 new illustrations plus a couple of comic pages from my latest project “The Cloud Maiden”, please visit this page for more info and previews! Opening will be on April 25th!

Finally, I completed my ‘Little Mermaid’ illustration! Hurrah!!!
I should thank Isabelle for commissioning me this piece and for being so patient with me ^___^ She actually contacted me about this commission almost 2 years ago! I can’t believe she could wait for so long until I was able to finally start doing it! Thank you!

And, I’m re-arranging my gallery at Flickr. I will delete a lot of stuff to focus the page more on my art than …. something else! So, don’t get worried if you don’t find old pictures/photos. I probably deleted them!

Ok, following my schedule, I had to finish two commissioned pieces in this weekend but it seems I could only complete this one:

It’s a painting based on a very old image of mine, having the same title and almost the same theme and colors. And a fairy based painting after some time! I also posted some WIP of it on my flickr gallery, just for the curious people!
I like this one a lot, it’s a pity I should give it away ^_^

Back in September of 2009, I was interviewed by Fantasy Art Magazine, a Chinese magazine. The interview and my art were featured in the October 2009 issue and yesterday I finally received my ‘paper’ copy of the magazine. And, wow! It’s so beautiful! It’s really worth the wait! Below, the interview with the illustrations.

A big thanks to Lizzy Craft for that!

And, yesterday I also received the copy of another great magazine featuring my art: Pasticcio Quartz, issue no. 8. Huge thanks to Angela and Sarah!
And a photo of the magazine, of course!

Just a little note to invite you to visit this new, marvelous blog from a very good friend of mine: It’s always Tea Time!
Enjoy!

Some news before I fly to New Delhi, tomorrow morning.

You can pre-order the Fairy Tale music album by Ken Young prior the public release! The album features one of my illustrations – Little Heart – and a whole comic based on a song by Ken. Pre-order there > LINK

I have a fan group on Facebook! The group has been created by Aurélia, and you can join it there > LINK

I should come back Italy in August…maybe…I have a 6 months Visa so anything might happen! ^_^

I will post new entries soon, I have been busy with a lot of things recently – not related with art, btw – and I’ve neglected a little bit my blog!

Last news: I got my Indian visa the past week and the countdown to my trip’s departure has started! As you can imagine, I’m very excited!

I’m very busy with my photography course, also. I like it, I’m learning so much about my camera – a Canon PowerShot A620 that I’m seriously re-estimating in these days – and photos that I spend all my free time taking pictures here and there! I will post soon shots on Flickr!

I redid a little bit the layout of my website. I like the last version, it’s clean and – hopefully – easier to navigate than past designs I made. Any suggestions about it is of course welcome!

Finally, I will update soon with new art and art news, meantime I suggest you to visit this blog » link. It’s about 18th century and run by one of my fav artists ever, Johanna Ost. It’s full off information, fashion, photos and images all related with the wonderful 18th century, of course! I’m sure you’ll enjoy it, fans of Marie Antoniette!

As usual I don’t have time to add new entries, I’m spending all my spare time drawing! Probably you already know about my last illustrations (if you sometimes have a look at my site or my online galleries).  Anyway, below the thumbnails and the links to the larger images:

- ‘Little Hearth’, a commissioned image from the musician Ken Young – http://www.kenyoungmusic.com

- ‘Reminiscences’. Another illustration based on the ‘Scarletine’ project by Audley – audley.deviantart.com

I’ve re-started posting images on my dA gallery. I’m working on many projects involving talented people who apparently have a better opinion about deviantArt than me ^_^. Even though all the stuff not related with dA will be available only on my website.
I hope you all spent a wonderful holiday time and I wish the New Year will be great. Mine seems to have started in a very positive way…I’ll tell you more asap!
