I have been invited to take part in a new collaborative project for an art-book, involving many artists both traditional and digital ones. Theme of the book is ‘Colors’ and I chose pink. The below drawing is a mix of my passion for the 20s, my recent discover of the art by J. C. Leyendecker and yes, I’m drawing again Soledad and Edgar together after years I suppose! Hopefully, it will be completed within the next week!

Artwork and Ordinary Life Interview, Sketches, Travel, Voodoo Child Project 7:35 am
Yeah, a new sketch of my favourite girl after so long! I think it’s time I try to organize all the ‘Voodoo Child’ stuff and start working on it more seriously – especially because many things have changed in the latest years and now I think of this project in a completely different way. But, you know, TIME!!!! I need more time! Or probably I simply need to stop thinking of new projects, characters, comic ideas, graphic novels, illustrations and whatever practically any minute! There’s a crazy circus in my head, really!
Other news, just because my painting lessons are finished – for the summer holidays – I will attend a course of photography beginning from the next week. The subject of the course focuses on ‘Travels Photography’, that I think it’s very interesting, especially to me ^_^ You know, I love travelling!
And you can read a new online interview there » link. It’s all about deviantArt so probably many of you are not really interested in it but Miss Cookie posted a wonderful profile of mine and my life with fossils that should be read, definitely! ^_^

Artwork and Books Precious Things, Voodoo Child Project 5:05 pm
A new drawing I’m working on in these days. Actually this is just a very small preview of the first sketch and the final piece will be very different, I think. I don’t know if you have recognized them but it’s a portrait of Soledad and Olimpia, from Voodoo Child project. I didn’t have so much time for my personal projects lately and I suppose that I don’t have time for them even in the future! Anyway, I had this illustration to complete for ‘Precious Things’ art-book and I’ve decided to use both of them as models ^_^ As you probably have noticed, they look like differently than the last portraits of them I drew. I took inspiration from 30ties old, vintage photos. I think the new look is quite nice even though I should work more on the ‘new’ Olimpia. Speaking honestly I get enough of all these girls having black and purple hair … deviantart is full of this kind of female characters ^_^ And since Olimpia is also on the cover of ‘Gothic Art Now‘, I suppose in the next months there will be an ‘increase’ of images featuring similar gothic girls. So, it’s time for a change ^_^

Artwork and Books Art-book, Gothic Art Now, Voodoo Child Project 7:28 pm
I’m not just one of the featured artists (on page 174), my artwork is also on the cover of the book! Wow, when Jasmine told me that I couldn’t believe it! Thank you again, Jasmine!
You can pre-order the book on Amazon: link
There you can see the featured illustration, it’s one of the images I did in 2005 for ‘Voodoo Child’, Olimpia and Jude reproduced! I really, really should find the time to updated this project of mine sooner or later!
